Madison is a lab mix that was found wandering around an apartment complex during one of the coldest winters in recent memory. Alone and afraid she was very reluctant to trust humans but thanks to the perseverance of the complex's maintenance man that was about to change. little by little she allowed him to get closer and closer until one day, aided by some good smelling treats, Madison allowed her hunger to overcome her reluctance and let herself be picked up and taken to an empty apartment where she stayed in hiding from the complex owners with the help of maintenance and the front office staff. For the first time in a very long time she enjoyed regular meals and companionship, however as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end....or perhaps they just turn a corner. It wasn't long until the apartment Madison was staying in was needed so she had to go, that's when the maintenance man mentioned to a friend that Madison would have to find a new home and soon. DARS brought Madison in and since living in her foster home she has really blossomed. Madison is approximately 1 year old, weighs about 30 pounds, is spayed and current on all vaccinations, knows sit, down, shake and if the mood strikes her, roll over. She is very smart and wants nothing more that to be loved. She is heartworm negative, on preventative and has been spayed. She's housebroken and crate trained.
