Little Cricket is lucky to be here. Living alone, helpless and abandoned near an old, closed business in the country, she was eating gravel in a desperate effort to survive! But, she's one of the lucky ones, because someone took the time to gain her trust and bring her to DARS. We've nursed our little Cricket back to health and she's doing remarkably well! Cricket appears to be a shepherd mix and was born about the week of March 19th . She has a fawn colored coat and a black snout. Cricket is coming out of his timidness as she gains size and gets more social interaction. She's still a bit timid around new dogs initially, but once she's sure they're friendly, she's soon playing with them. At last check, she was very scared of cats, but that's when she was a lot smaller. Cricket is probably too timid for small children, but should be fine with older ones. She is doing well with housebreaking now that she's old enough to hold it and understand what is expected of her. Cricket has totally forgotten her horrible fight to survive and is a happy, healthy girl all ready to find the loving home she so deserves! She has been spayed and fully vaccinated. She is also on heart worm preventative.
